About In Jerry's Footsteps
The success of the Schroer Group depends on the success of our employees. And since 2016, the In Jerry’s Footsteps fund has been there to help them in times of need.
Our employees care for vulnerable members of our community every day. But many live paycheck to paycheck themselves. That means they are often one event away from a significant financial crisis.
The In Jerry’s Footsteps fund was created by our employees for our employees, although we depend on the support of our partners outside The Schroer Group to make this work possible. Whether you’re an employee, friend, client, or vendor, your support helps to deliver immediate, emergency relief to our employees that need it most.
Our grant recipients are more than just employees of The Schroer Group. They are your neighbors and members of your own community. You can help build stronger families and healthier communities across our region by supporting the work of In Jerry’s Footsteps.

MISSION STATEMENT:
To show strength through compassion by providing critical funding during times of hardship for employees of The Schroer Group family of companies – honoring the legacy of our founder, Jerry Schroer Sr.
Apply for a grant
Sometimes, we all fall victim to events that are outside of our control. If you're facing financial hardship after a catastrophic event, In Jerry's Footsteps is here to help.
As an employee of The Schroer Group, you have access to our employee hardship fund. This fund is made possible through the generosity of both The Schroer Group and your fellow employees. All you have to do is submit an application for review by visiting our employee engagement platform, People Are Everything.
Grant applications are reviewed by a committee of individuals comprised of fellow employees from all sectors of The Schroer Group companies. To ensure confidentiality, the committee chair completes an initial review of all applications and provides a redacted version, removing all personal information, to the full committee. Once an application is reviewed by the full committee, the committee chair will advise the applicant of the committee's decision.
At The Schroer Group, we believe our employees are family. That's why we're committed to helping one another in times of crisis.
Process
1. Register
Click on the "Register" link and complete and submit the registration form.
2. Login
Login to the award with your email and password.
3. Create
Select the Scholarship from the dropdown in the Dashboard and create your online application.
4. Save
During the Call for Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a 
appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the 
icon in the Application Summary section.
5. Submit
On completion, save your Nomination as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
